Join the Aspen Glen Club and play championship-level golf at our private 18-hole course. Golfers can also hit the links at River Valley Ranch’s spectacular 18-hole public course or the one at Ironbridge Golf Club. There is also a public golf course in Aspen and a 9-hole, par-3 course at The Ranch at Roaring Fork in Carbondale.

We’re right near the gateway to the famous rock-climbing challenges of the Western Slopes. More nearby climbing can be found at the Redstone Boulders, the Narrows, and the Frying Pan crags. Wintertime also brings ice climbing in the Crystal River Valley.

Aspen Glen’s section of the Roaring Fork River is world-renowned for its fine fly fishing and has been designated by the state as a “Gold Medal Water” area. Our residents, employees, and club members have the exclusive rights to fish along the banks of the river here and may catch some of largest browns, rainbows, and whitefish in the entire Roaring Fork River.

From May to September, you’ll find stables that offer mellow breakfast rides, sunset rides, pony rides for kids, and guided overnight pack trips. Take your pick and giddy up.

The area around Aspen Glen offers a wide spectrum of camping options – from backcountry to dedicated sites to family-friendly campgrounds. Each one is more beautiful than the last. Two favorites: Avalanche Creek and Bogan Flats. Pick up maps, passes and permits at the US Forest Service Sopris Ranger Station in downtown Carbondale.

From downhill adrenaline junkies to town cruisers, Aspen Glen and environs have bike trails and paths for all. The Rio Grande Trail is a paved bike path that stretches between Glenwood Springs and Aspen and it’s right outside our front gate.
